Imperial Red is a true red, turned neither toward orange nor toward blue. It is the hardestposition on the spectrum to hold in leather with any consistency, and for that reason it is dyed to our own specification rather than selected from a supplier’s range. Across the quilting it reads deep in the folds and brilliant where the facets catch.
Each bag is cut by hand from a single skin and built around the house geometry, aligned by eye so every intersection arrives where it should. The discipline is entirely manual and allows no margin. Padding is worked from behind, keeping the face of the leather free of visible seaming and the colour continuous from flap to base.
The hardware is Italian. Cast in solid brass, hand-finished and plated in 18-karat gold in Italy, the monogram turn-lock sits where the facets converge. Inside, tonal red suede lines the bag throughout. A red held this precisely is worth carrying through rather than interrupting, and this is one of the ten shades we line to match.
