Prunelle is the colour of the sloe, a dark and dusty plum with a bloom lying over it. In low light it reads brown and in daylight unmistakably purple, which makes it the most responsive shade in the collection to whatever is placed beside it. The depth collects in the folds and the bloom sits on the raised facets.
Each bag is cut by hand from a single skin and assembled around the house geometry, aligned panel by panel so every intersection closes. There is no template; the accuracy belongs to the artisan. The relief is padded from behind and the face of the leather remains unbroken from flap to base.
The hardware is Italian, cast in solid brass, hand-finished and plated in 18-karat gold in Italy, engraved with the monogram. Inside, tonal plum suede lines the bag throughout, in the deeper register of the same colour. A shade that already changes with the light does not need a second colour arguing with it. Two interior pockets, divided by a suede partition. Handcrafted in our atelier, in a very small series.
